Setting up

Thanks for buying our Analyzer! It’s time to set it up. A more detailed version of this guide is available on our Certifications program, but we’ve posted a simplified version here for your convenience.

Set up your analyzer on a level surface in a cool, dry space, making sure that the fan in the back of the analyzer will not be obstructed. Check that there is enough room for proper ventilation; A rule of thumb is >6 inches of space around the device.
You now have two options to setup your device.

  1. Connecting with an Intranet
    • Plug in your Analyzer’s power supply to a standard outlet. Plug the other end into the back of the Fluxergy Analyzer.
    • Plug in your router’s power supply to a standard outlet. Plug the other end into the back of the router.
    • Connect one ethernet cable to your computer. Plug the other end into one of the ethernet / LAN 1, 2, 3, or 4 ports. DO NOT PLUG INTO INTERNET/WAN.
  2. Connecting with your Network
    • Plug in your Analyzer’s power supply to a standard outlet. Plug the other end into the back of the Fluxergy Analyzer.
    • Connect an ethernet cable to the back of your Fluxergy Analyzer. Connect the other end of the ethernet cable to your local network via the ethernet port.
    • Connect your computer to the same network as the Fluxergy Analyzer.

Now let’s get you connected to Fluxergy Works. You’ll first need a computer/laptop with Fluxergy Works installed (We have a guide for that!)

Opening the Fluxergy Works program, click the “Admin” tab on the left side of the screen. You will now see a menu at the top of your page– Click “Device”. On the right side of the screen you will see a section titled “Available Device” listing all Network Adapters/Routers that your computer detects. Select your desired device. You will now be able to select your Analyzer by clicking “Add”; We recommend adding your device name in this window and labeling your Analyzer physically. Select “Register”. Your device should now show on the left side of your screen.

You can now turn on the Fluxergy Analyzer! Make sure your power cord is connected to the back, and press the power button on the device. (We don’t have a LED to confirm the status of our device yet, so please press the button once.) To ensure your device is on, select the “Device” tab on the left side of your screen. The status will show as “Available” when ready to test.

And you’re set! To learn how to run tests head over to our Certification program, or take a look through our other Support pages.
