About our Tests

What type of tests do you support?
Fluxergy supports direct PCR testing, meaning there are no additional extraction steps on the cartridge. Once the sample/reagent mixture has been manually pipetted into the input well, the mixture will flow into the reaction chambers via microfluidic channels.
*RNA Extraction is NOT required

How long does it take to run a direct PCR test?
The length of a PCR test is highly assay dependent. A typical PCR test for a DNA target can be conducted in as little as 15 minutes while a RNA target averages 30-35 minutes for time to result. Our COVID-19 PCR test will run in 1 hour.

What kind of sample types can I use for a test?
The Fluxergy system can handle a variety of crude samples types depending on the assay being conducted. For PCR-based assays, The Fluxergy system currently accommodates whole blood, plasma, urine, saliva, tears, feces, nasal swabs, soil and plant tissue. Fluxergy has developed tests for a variety of species including human, equine, canine, feline, bovine, porcine and poultry.

What is the shelf-life of each test?
Fluxergy assays have varying shelf-life dependent on the assay type. See the Assay Specification Sheet for a particular analyte on their relevant market page (COVID-19, Equine, etc.).

I have a specific testing need. How do I develop a new lab-developed test?
We are working to constantly develop new kinds of PCR reagents for use with the Fluxergy Test Card and Fluxergy Analyzer. If you have specific PCR reagent target that you would frequently use in your practice, please reach out to us via customer support, or simply send your account executive a message. These conversations help us prioritize the reagents in development.
Additional test targets for immunochemistry and chemistry are in development, please contact us if you have a specific target that you would frequently use in your practice.
